“This acoustic trio has become one of folk music’s most unique & acclaimed bands.”
Grand Rapids PressBio
SONS OF THE NEVER WRONG is a turbo-charged Altfolk trio from Chicago that delivers witty, whimsical songs with their signature soaring vocal harmonies and gorgeous arrangements. In case you’re wondering, they’re 2 gals and a fella: Bruce Roper, Sue Demel and Deborah Lader. Their odd ball humor and spontaneous stories ignite their live shows and have earned them a cult-like international following for over 30 years. Combining influences of folk, jazz, pop and rock, their sound is wildly original, their energy is contagious and their banter is hilarious. However, no bio can outdo what OTHERS have to say about the Sons….

Sons of the Never Wrong folk medley:
“Weeping Willow” and “Wanderin…”
So, a few years back, we three sons came up with a little folk medley for a concert honoring the late Win Stracke, co-founder of the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. We filmed it down and dirty on Deb’s laptop so we could remember our parts,
and it was just rediscovered when Deb went to clean up her computer. Honestly, we didn’t even remember singing this on camera, but because of Deb’s hoarding problem, it just resurfaced and we thought ya’ll might like it.

Testimonials
One of the best folk bands of our time, out pushing the envelope once again with some of the most literate, provocative lyrics around.
“This band keeps the spirit of fresh folk alive. Their upbeat, offbeat style is strong on poetry and musicianship, but with a healthy dose of fun thrown in.”
Not since Peter, Paul, and Mary has a trio offered such perfect harmony in Folk music. Share an evening with one of Folk music’s most unique a acclaimed bands.
Setting a standard for adult alternative, this lyric intensive music is decidedly ear and mind opening.
Their vocal blend sounds like no other; their original songs have wit & heart; their onstage dynamic is nothing short of manic.
“A cutting edge folk band.”
Collegiate Review
